All-Electric Porsche?
Porsche is a well-known car brand in the whole industry and is been known for producing a lineup of cars which have shaken the street roads as well as the tracks all around the world. Porsche is a German-based car company founded in 25th April 1931 by Ferdinand Porsche. He is the person who brought crazy fast and stylish rocket for the public. Porsches are known for their stupidly fast cars with amazing driving technology under the body panels for a fantastic immersive driving experience on road as well as on track days. Porsche has a line up for every situation but mainly focuses on track-focused cars. Some of their ludicrous line up is the 911. Beware of cars that have the badge RS on the back. You really don't want to mess with it. Those are the pinnacle of track-focused cars built by Porsche.
Porsche last year announced the all-electric Porsche to give head-on competition to tesla's lineup. Yea I said it right "all-electric Porsche". This is the first-ever model from Porsche to be fully electric. It first in the fleet. The Porsche Taycan was first showcased to the public in July 2020 last year. The car made it to the headline as soon as it was announced. Tesla was finally hit by the brick wall named the competition. The spec sheet provided by Porsche was shocking and many people got excited and immediately placed their orders for their Taycan.
The Taycan has 4 models which are named Taycan, Taycan 4s, Taycan Turbo and Taycan Turbo S. The base model rockets you from 0-60mph in 5.4 secs. Doesn't sound that impressive. But then the top of the line Taycan Turbo S launches at an astonishing 0-60mph in under 2.6 secs and tops off at 260km/h. This 0-60 numbers are a direct hit towards tesla's models.
The Taycan is am impressive car in terms of both interior and exterior. The exterior has the iconic Porsche model design but with a flare of modern refinement. It helps the car to stand out from their pre-existing lineup of fabulous cars. The Taycan looks futuristic with a flare of old heritage of Porsche. The interior is filled with screens. In total there are 3 huge screens which replace each and every physical buttons to be integrated into the screen for a more immersive experience. The 1st huge screen is in the driver's display where the tachometer sit. It provides a wide range of customization from the previously fixed tachometer with 2 small screens. Ther other 2 screens integrate the other simple functions such as air-con, navigation, drive mode selector, etc.
The one important piece in the interior that still holds the heritage of Porsche is seen on the dashboard which is the Race Clock located in the centre-top of the dashboard. You will see the particular clock in each and every Porsche models. Moving on to the rear seats in the Taycan. It is spacious and can easily accommodate 3 passengers. This is a benefit due to the removal of the huge hump in the leg rest. The car has a flat floor which gives more leg space and provides for an all-over better experience for all the passengers.
Now let's head to the rear of the car. The rear design has been completely worked on. They have toned down the aggressive lines to a more simple curved look for more efficient drive and increases the range. The Taycan comes with the iconic spoiler which raises at high speeds for better downforce and traction. The rear boot space has a capacity 365 litres which is quite impressive for the first electric Porsche. But wait, there is more. The car is electric means that it doesn't have an engine. So you get more luggage capacity in the front also. The total added front and rear boot space reach 366 litres.
Overall the all-electric Porsche is one of a kind creation and cannot be compared with any other electric vehicles in its league. The driving experience is similar to a Porsche GT3Rs but with an eco-friendly touch. It is built with top-class material and fitted with superior precision.
