McLaren Senna GTR
Mclaren's launched yet another alien spaceship that dominates the track and somehow is street legal too. The all-new Mclaren Senna GTR is one hell of a masterpiece to own. The name "Senna" is taken from their greatest formula one team driver "Ayrton Senna" who represented the team on the track from 1988 to 1993. Senna was first unveiled to the world on their website in 2017, but then physically launched in the 2018 Geneva Motors Show. The sheer amounts of downforce this machine achieves are mind-blowing. It creates 1000kg of downforce at 155mph. Just to clear out, this car is not street legal and is only allowed to be driven on tracks. The amount of detailing and engineering put into this car completely makes it to be like a mythical creature.
The specs on this bullet will drop your jaw to the floor. Over the normal street legal brother, this has an upgrade done in all corners of it. It has an output of shy 833 hp and 590 lb-ft of torque. The power is delivered through a strapped in 4 litres twin-turbo V8 and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission to assist with the power delivery. The peak output of the Gtr is 200+ mph. If these numbers don't amaze you just wait for the power to weight ratio. The weight achieved by the designers on this gtr is spectacular. Just under 1187kg. Which brings the power to weight ratio to 0.7.
The focus on aero-dynamics found on the street-legal senna was thought as the peak of the engineers at the McLaren factory, but then they proved us wrong. They just pulled out the legendary weapon and slashed our expectations. when they say they have decked out the car, it really means decked out. Take everything on the shelf and slap it on the car. Every bit of this car is functional and works perfectly with the other components.
The ear-opener and roar of a T-Rex sounding top rear exhaust just scream attention. To give the exhaust company, a massive wing has been attached to the car which created the maximum amount of downforce which helps the car to grip better on the road. The out of hell rear bottom diffuser just looks like fan blades just paired together for better airflow and easier slipstream for the car. Al these are just the rear exterior addon's. The roof scoop pulls air and feeds it to ever roaring satan.
Every single vents are functional and slips air and provides air to various components which needs cooling. You might be thinking about the price of this monstrous creation. Its a eye watering and wallet ripping 1.65 million dollars (aka 6 million dhs). Remember that this is only a track focused and accesed car. Now lets enter the space ship and take a look of the interior.
The interior is completly stripped to bare minimum. Forget all the luxury bits from other cars. This will make you feel each bumps and holes of the track. It truely an immersive driving experience. (No puns intended). But for a fact this will connect the driver with its mechanics and will provide you with an immersive experience never to be found in any other track car. The suspensions are way stiffer than what are found in the normal senna, even are the breaks and tires. The gtr version is fitted with Pirelli a bespoke racing slicks. Options are between Pirelli Trofeo Rs or P Zeros.
The GTR feels locked down and ultra-responsive—especially through the faster turns where you tend to overdrive the car—yet the balance feels delicate and adjustable.
